Faisalabad Kicks Off Four Key Sports Camps Ahead of 35th National Games

In preparation for the upcoming 35th National Games, the Sports Board Punjab has initiated training camps across 21 different sports categories in Lahore. Meanwhile, Faisalabad is hosting camps focused on kabaddi, taekwondo, volleyball, and handball. This information was shared by Director General of Sports Punjab, Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry, who visited several facilities including those within the Nishtar Park Sports Complex (NPSC). Currently, more than 600 male and female participants are undergoing intensive coaching under experienced trainers. Following this two-week program, approximately 485 high-performing individuals will be chosen to compete as representatives of Punjab at the National Games set to take place in Karachi between May 1st and 9th, 2025.

The athletes are participating in both early morning and late evening sessions dedicated to honing advanced skills and enhancing physical fitness. Under the supervision of Director Admin Dr. M Kaleem, Director Sports Rana Nadeem Anjum, and various officials, the Director General of Sports engaged with the athletes to assess their development and confirm that they receive proper training and suitable living conditions.
