On Tuesday, the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, revealed the mascot, logo, and theme song for the 2024 National Sports Festival scheduled to take place in the state between May 16 and 30, 2025. Represented by her deputy, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Abiodun vowed that the state would present "the most remarkable, most inclusive, and most inspirational National Sports Festival Nigeria has ever witnessed." During the unveiling ceremony at the June 12 Cultural Centre on Tuesday evening, the governor remarked that although the state had previously hosted the sports event almost twenty years ago, it is well-prepared to host the nation once again, featuring numerous innovative elements aimed at reshaping the national games festival.
