Coach Fidele Nyirimana from Kepler VC firmly believes that his team will impress during their first participation in the upcoming Men’s African Volleyball Club Championship scheduled between April 17th and 30th in Misurata, Libya. Alongside APR VC, these two teams will represent Rwanda at this prestigious continental event following the withdrawal of Rwanda Energy Group (REG). Following their final practice session on Tuesday at NPC gymnasium in Remera prior to heading off to Misurata, Nyirimana assured Times Sport reporters, "Our preparations were thorough via several friendly games leading up to the tournament; thus, our club feels adequately equipped to face the challenge." Although new to such competitions, Kepler boasts talents like opposite hitter Wickliffe Dusenge and middle blocker John Nkurunziza—athletes whose previous experiences include playing alongside Gisagara when they clinched a historic bronze medal in an earlier iteration of this championship. Furthermore, adding depth and expertise to Kepler’s lineup is Cuban setter Anier Diaz Herrera, known for past engagements in Libyan leagues. Nyirimana expressed confidence: "This marks my seventh visit here either as a player or coach. Moreover, some members of my roster bring valuable insights gained directly from similar tournaments." Captain Ivan Mahoro echoed those sentiments stating, "The entire group feels highly motivated and unified having spent considerable effort honing teamwork skills throughout preparation phases. Competitors like defending champions Al Ahly Sporting Club from Egypt won’t deter us—we’re aiming high!"
