
Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], April 18 (ANI): As the highly anticipated T20 Mumbai League makes a grand return, the Mumbai Cricket Association ( MCA ) today announced India captain and Mumbai's very own Rohit Sharma as the face of Season 3, as per a release from MCA .
Set to kick off on May 26, one of India’s top-tier domestic Twenty20 leagues will feature thrilling matches and intense rivalry, highlighting exceptional cricketing skills from various cities, as stated in a press release.
The announcement took place during a press conference conducted in Mumbai with officials present. Rohit Sharma , MCA President Ajinkya Naik as well as members from both the Apex Council and the League Governing Council, together with team operators.

Although Season 3 will keep eight teams, the MCA Onboarded two new team operators. Roadway Solutions India Infra Ltd. won the operational rights to Team Sobo Mumbai Falcons with a deal worth Rs82 crore, whereas Royal Edge Sports & Entertainment purchased the team representing the Mumbai South Central area for Rs57 crore.
Two new franchises have joined T20 Mumbai League The bandwagon, which already includes North Mumbai Panthers, ARCS Andheri, Triumph Knights Mumbai Northeast, Namo Bandra Blasters, Eagle Thane Strikers, and Aakash Tigers Mumbai Western Suburbs.
Introduced in 2018 with the objective of discovering and fostering cricketing potential, this league has acted as a stepping stone for numerous aspiring cricketers like Shivam Dube, Tushar Deshpande, and Shams Mulani, who later excelled at more advanced stages of the game.
