DC's Hemang Badami Expresses Satisfaction Ahead of GT Showdown

Ahmedabad (Gujarat), India, April 18 (ANI): Following an exciting Super Over victory in their last game, Delhi Capitals (DC) will look to keep the momentum going when they take on the Gujarat Titans (GT) took place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday.

Delhi Capitals They have secured victory in five out of their six games played and presently lead the points chart with 10 points.

Up until now, we've experienced five wonderful days, which makes me content as I reflect on our achievements. Everyone is delighted; there’s plenty of enjoyment, playful teasing, and laughter among us. We’re really having a great time together. Although it's extremely warm, we're looking forward to an excellent match tomorrow." Delhi Capitals head coach Hemang Badani stated at the pre-match press conference.

Inquired regarding an update on Faf du Plessis Badani stated, "I honestly can’t provide any information about his participation or the team lineup. We’ll have to wait and see if he’s ready when we check things out tomorrow."

Regarding wicket-keeper batter Abhishek Porel's performance thus far, the coach commented, "By retaining him, we convey that his presence is highly valued within the team. Additionally, seeing how he participates in every game indicates that we believe he possesses significant potential. This season alone demonstrates his capability, and as teams increasingly aim to balance their lineup with both left-handed and right-handed players, Porel’s contribution as a left-hander becomes invaluable. Despite KL taking over the wicketkeeping duties, Porel continues to excel through his exceptional fielding skills."

The head coach also put his weight behind the young Australian batter Jake Fraser-McGurk .

"He is someone who gives us massive starts and someone who we believe is a match winner. Yes, the numbers this year haven't been his best compared to last year but we as a side believe that he is someone who is likely to be a player who can always come good for us at any given time," he said, as quoted from a release by DC.

"It also gives us the freedom to keep having him in the side because of our position at the moment with five wins in six games, it just gives us the cushion to have someone like him in the XI and if he fires it's happy days for us," he added.

Meanwhile, the home side Gujarat Titans They have secured four victories and suffered two losses out of their six games played so far, placing them at the second spot on the leaderboard. (ANI)
